MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He is a major player in music in the Latin mainstream. In the year 2017 the hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN, his first long-player with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. It reached the number 8 spot at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca is the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007 led him to join Ozuna. Mala Influencia is his collaborative effort with Noriel in the year 2020. Following that calendar year Dopamina was his follow-up album. In 2021, he also performed an duet with TINI's smash streaming single Maldita Foto. 2000, which featured the smash hit La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo has an instrumental background. Both his mother and elder brother are also musicians. According to him, music was an integral part of his life. As a child he learned how to play the saxophone, ukulele and piano. While his initial career choice was to become a veterinarian His brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in lessons in singing with an Cuban teacher and the end outcome of discovering his talents as a singer altered the course of his life.
